Jerry Reuss or “Royce” — is a former left-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball who was born June 19, 1949. Royce is famous because of his age together with the Los Angeles Dodgers, who has a 22-year career from 1969 to 1990. Jerry Reuss pitched in Major League for 22 years he played for eight teams including the St. Louis Cardinals, Astros, Pirates, The Reds, the Dodgers, the Angels, White Sox, and Brewers and finished with the Pirates. He won 220 games, throwing no-hitters, played in two all-star games and pitched in the World Series for the Dodgers. Jerry returned to uniform in 2000 as a pitching coach for the Montreal Expos 2A in Harrisburg, PA. The Cubs hired him as their pitching coach 3A in Des Moines, IA 2001-2003 for the season. In 2004, he was the pitching coach for the Mets 2A in Binghamton, NY.
